Elisavet Velentza is a graduate from the Department of Sport and Exercise Science of the National Kapodistrian Univeristy of Athens, Greece.
She has been a member of the Greek national team in the 100m hurdles. She has achieved Panhellenic victories and has represented Greece in International Championships.
She has been awarded full scholarship for her Master’s studies from Goethe Institute in Sport Science, Prevention and Rehabilitation at the Technical University of Munich. She is also a double Master’s degree owner in Sport Science, Training Diagnosis and Intervention as well as in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Leipzig University, Germany.
As a researcher she received a full scholarship for her MPhil studies from Gladstone Institute and Chester University in United Kingdom in 2012 to collaborate with England’s Rugby Football Union and to investigate talent selection and promotion within England’s Rugby Football Union Elite Player Performance Pathway.
Nowadays she is a PhD candidate at the Kapodistrian University of Athens investigating talent selection procedures and prerequisites environments for long-term athlete developmental. She is a certified Lecturer from the University of Derby, United Kingdom and lectures at the Mediterranean College in Athens, Greece.
She has been teaching at the certified Greek National School of Chess and Gymnastics Trainers of General Secretary of Sports - Ministry of Sports (Athens, Greece).
She also collaborates nationally and internationally with sport clubs and unions regarding talent identification and development in sport.
